ICE detention centers in our service area

This document provides information on the ICE detention centers are located in our organization’s service area: 1) the El Paso Service Processing Center (EPSPC), 2) the Otero County Processing Center (OCPC), and 3) the West Texas Detention Facility (WTDF). Here you will find the address and contact information for each facility along with links to maps, directions, and related documents.

El Paso Service Processing Center (EPSPC)

Located in El Paso, TX and managed by ICE, EPSPC was first opened in 1966, has a capacity of 840 individuals, and holds men and women. This facility is a dedicated ICE detention center. Otero County Processing Center

Located on the edge of Chaparral, NM next to the Otero County Prison Facility and managed by the private prison company Management and Training Corporation (MTC), OCPC was first opened in 2008, has a capacity of 1,000, and holds only men. The facility is a dedicated ICE detention center. The ICE website facility link for OCPC is here. The google maps page is here. Otero County Prison Facility

Located on the edge of Chaparral, NM next to the Otero County Processing Center and managed by the private prison company Management and Training Corporation (MTC), OCPF was first opened in 2003, has a total capacity of 1420, and holds both men and women. This facility is primarily a federal prison that holds individuals who are serving time for criminal chargers. However, a few individuals are also held in civil immigration detention for ICE. The ICE website does not appear to have a facility link for OCPF. The google maps page is here.

West Texas Detention Facility (WTDF)

Located on the outskirts of Sierra Blanca, TX and managed by LaSalle Corrections, WTDF was first opened in 2004, has a total capacity of 450, and holds both men and women. This facility is both a prison and an ICE detention center. The ICE website facility link is here. The google maps page is here. Cibola County Correctional Center

While the Cibola County Correctional Center (CCCC) is not in our service area, it is a facility located in New Mexico. If a friend or family member is incarcerated at CCCC, please contact our affiliated visitation program Civic Albuquerque, their contact information can be found at Freedom for Immigrants visitation programs for New Mexico. We maintain a page of key news articles, government reports, and ICE inspections for the CCCC.
